I received a thank you postcard in the mail today from someone in Philadelphia. The card they sent me depicts a statue of Ben Franklin on the University of Philadelphia Campus. Benjamin Franklin was one of Philadelphia's most influential and historic father figures. Besides establishing America's first hospital and fire company, he also was an inventor who created the Franklin Stove, bifocals, and the lightening rod. He lived to be 84 years old.
