Kathakali

Kathakali is the most famous dance-drama of Kerala. This classical art form is distinguished by several unique features. It is a marvelous blend of the 'tandava' (masculine) and 'lasya' elements of dancing.


Martha's Vineyard

At the very western end of Martha's Vineyard in Aquinnah, formerly called Gay Head. The brick lighthouse built there in 1952 still flashed its red and white lights.

Buffalo Bill Dam and Reservoir- Built by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and completed in 1910, Buffalo Bill Dam rises 328 feet above the river bed in spectacular Shoshone Canyon. The scenic "Cody Road to Yellowstone" passes the crest of the Dam and skirts the edge of Buffalo Bill Reservoir in a series of tunnels drilled through the solid rock of the mountain side.

WY 35- Punch Bowl Hot Springs is one of the most outstanding springs in the Yellowstone Park area; not only because of the rich color blends, but also because of its constructive cone which it has built up. Its location is along the Black Sands Geyser Basin Highway and should not be overlooked by any visitor to the park.

The Grand Tetons erupt through one layer of clouds to mingle with sun, sky and another layer of clouds. Geologically the youngest of the Rockies, their sharp prominence against the horizon might prompt us today, as it did the early French trappers who named them, to liken them to large human mammaries. 

Flaming Gorge Dam and Lake- Flaming Gorge Dam on the Green River near the Wyoming-Utah state line, is 502 feet high, spans the 1,180-foot canyon and creates a 91-mile long lake to within six miles of Interstate 80 at Green River, Wyoming. A paved highway crosses this $30 million structure, leading to Interstate 80 on either side of the lake.

Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone National Park. Located in Upper Geyser Basin, it is one of the most famous of the Park Hotels.

Ten Sleep Canyon in the Big Horn Mountain of Wyoming on U.S. Highway No. 16. The famous switchbacks as seen all the way up the canyon slope.
