Netherlands

I received all of these postcards through postcrossing.com.



This last postcard was sent with a few "goodies" as well. There was a little Netherlands flag on a toothpick as well as a page from their daily paper.






Malaysia

This postcard depicts the Kek Lok Si Temple by night.

Hockey in Slovakia

Both of these cards were acquired through direct swaps on Facebook.

This first card depicts a selection of the most attractive tourist localities.


This next card depicts the city of Trencin (the hockey city in Slovakia). Two of the most notable players from this country that I know of are Pavol Demitra and Marian Gaborik (both have played on the Minnesota Wild hockey team).

Indonesia

This postcard was received through a direct swap on Facebook. It depicts impressive scenery of the Royal Temple, Mengwi on the Island of Bali.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Austria

These 4 postcards were a souvenir from a friend who was recently on a trip to Europe. I was excited to receive these. :]




This one depicts an Austrian Benedictine Abbey and one of the world's most famous monastic sites.

Pope John Paul II

This postcard was a hard one to get. It was achieved through a direct swap on Facebook, and the person I swapped with had to go buy it especially for me. :] It depicts Pope John Paul II's tomb. It is one of the most visited tombs in the country.

I received this postcard through a direct swap on Facebook. It is a view of the Old Port and Downtown at night.

Brazil

This postcard is of the "Terra da Felicidade" in Northeastern Brazil.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Orlando

I received 3 postcards from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter through a direct swap on Facebook.





I also received a holographic scene from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as a surprise.



The last card that I received as part of this swap was a vintage Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus poster card.

Isle of Man

Isle of Man is a small island that is well known for Manx cats (the ones without tails) and many tourist sites. It has a celtic history.

Ireland

I received my first two postcard from Ireland this week. They were through a direct swap with a wonderful woman on Facebook.

Nothern Ireland, within its compact area, encircles a wealth of surpassing scenic splendour. Vibrant, fresh and green in appearance, the natural features it encompasses are as diverse as they are exhilarating, from barren plains to expanses of lakelands, and from low-lying areas to lofty mountain ranges. Quite apart from its aesthetic charm, historic castles, and ruins are scattered lavishly throughout the country, recounting tales from Nothern Ireland's rich history.



Isle of Arran

I received this postcard through a direct swap on Facebook.

Isle of Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland.

Vatican City

All 3 of these postcards were acquired through a direct swap on Facebook with a very sweet lady.

This first card is of Pope John Paul II's tomb with Pope Benedict XVI there praying.


The second card I received was of Sistine Chapel, and the ceiling painting done my Michelangelo. I was able to see this when I was in Italy, and was amazed at it!


The third postcard I received was of the "Baldacchino" (Canopy build my Bernini that is in St. Peter's Basilica. Underneath the canopy is St. Peter's Tomb.

Mt. Washington New Hampshire State Park

I received this card as part of a direct swap on Facebook. This particular postcard is an aerial view of 6,288-ft Mt. Washington, part of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Biloxi

This was an official postcrossing card that I received from Biloxi Mississippi. It is of a historic lighthouse constructed in 1848 and is located on U.S. Highway 90.
