I got all of these postcards from my trip to the Minnesota State Fair during the summer of 2019.
Krisit Abbott, a collage artist from St. Paul, created her interpretation (above) of the Great Minnesota Get-Together using intricately layered pieces of textured, colorful paper. This tapestry of visual storytelling contains more than 50 hidden images representing Abbott's visits to the State Fair. Her work is the 15th in a series of annual art created exclusively for the State Fair by Minnesota artists. This piece supports the mission of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation 501(c)(3) to preserve and improve State Fair buildings, the fairgrounds and educational programs.
