My trip to Florida-April 2015

All of these postcards I got on my trip to Florida last month. We stayed mainly in Orlando, but did go to New Smyrna Beach, Florida to go see the ocean. We only did Universal Studios and SeaWorld for theme parks, not Disney World.

Universal Studios Theme Park.

SeaWorld Penguins.

Awareness adaptations. You wear a jacket when you're cold, but penguins rely on a thick layer of blubber and overlapping feathers to stay warm. This is important since some penguins spend most of their lives in the sea hunting for tasty treats like fish and shrimp-like krill. Their feathers work hard and wear out, so penguins molt or shed old feathers and grown new ones about once a year. While molting, they may have a scruffy appearance and won't go into the water to eat.

SeaWorld Penguin and Chick. 

Hungry, healthy penguins. At SeaWorld, we carefully monitor the diets and health of our animals. We put fish in the water for the penguins to swim after, but we also hand-feed our penguin population vitamin-enriched food to make sure they all maintain a healthy, balanced diet. We give each bird a complete physical and constantly check the health of their chicks, even when they're still inside their eggs.

Florida is the perfect vacation hot spot. Well known for its long sandy-white beaches, crystal-clear tropical waters, endless warmth and sunshine, and some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
